St John's parishioners have a long-standing tradition of visiting the sick and housebound in the Tadworth/Kingswood area. These are often in nursing homes, but may also be living at home either alone with their partner or family. If they are unable to come to church for the Blessed Sacrament, they can receive it during a visit.

St John's embraces a wide range of ages and stages in its community. Many families attend the services and we recognise the need to provide activities and facilities for children.
Children are welcome at all the services, though the 10.30 am mass on Sunday is the best oriented to their needs. Children's liturgy sessions are held in parallel with the first part of the mass. The sessions, targetted at 3-7 year olds, are guided by an adult and often include practical activities for the children. Parents are welcome to attend too.
Other programmes for younger parishioners are:
- First Holy Communion preparation
- Confirmation
We hope to inlcude much more on this aspect of parish life in future editions of this website.
